LOFTY PINES

LOFTY PINES

Sometimes you stumble on an account on social media and you just know you have to go.

And sometimes that place becomes a tradition in the making.

I found The Lofty Pines on Instagram in 2020 and totally fell in love. The cabin was quaint, clean and boasted an enclosed porch over looking Deer Lake. I headed up last year with a group of girlfriends and we all relished the northern air, and the soul food this property gave us. October is never too late for skinny dipping, which was the first thing I did when I got there - it really is the best way to lose a bet.

The wood stove fired hot tub was an amenity that was not only unique but like something out of a Hallmark movie. The edison bulbs illuminate the property perfectly. We prebooked for the next year before we even left.

Flash forward to 2022 and this year, we made it a Bear+Fox weekend away. I was so excited for Carolyne to see The Lofty Pines through her camera lens. She was in photographer heaven. We ate like queens, soaked up the October sun, sipped bevvies in the hot tub and enjoyed a traditional Friendsgiving supper on the porch by candle light.

This is one of my favourite places I've stayed. The hosts are incredible. Kelsey + Kyle have poured so much love into this property, and you can truly feel it. From the welcome package, to the bunkie - they've thought of everything.

We will be back next year... and the year after that, and the year after that...
